After waiting for a while I finally decided to get a PSP. I planned on getting the standalone Gigapack with just the PSP and a 1gb card which was due to retail at

130 quid - is just too cheap for a PSP (unless buying from hong kong and then you pay like 30 quid for postage and take risk of VAT and import duty when it arrives in UK)

i am currently looking at getting a 1.5 PSP + 1 or 2 Gb memory

i expect to pay 170-180 for the PSP and 50-100 for the memory

some people these days are even selling DVDs containing PSP games and movies!!!

Yeah I thought 130 was too cheap but I thought it was worth the risk. Like i said I can get 95% of the money back anyway.

Yeah that is pretty much what I paid for my (latest) PSP purchase. I am not endorsing who I just bought one off but the company seems really legit and helpfull. I got honest answers back straight away from all of my questions and Im being updated at every part of the shipping process. If you want I will post the seller if you want to look them up for one yourself.

I took a risk for a PSP for $110 and I got mine,s o sometimes it IS worth it to take that chance.  hopefully you'll get your money back :).

Enjoy the PSP, the emulator scene on it is very impressive.  I have a 1.5 with a 1gig memstick... I need to find a good deal on a 2gig soon :)

Are you still waiting for it? Were you meant to have it by now? Fingers crossed for you mate. When you finally get it it will be well worth the wait, these things are incredible! Im soooo addicted to Ridge Racer and Virtua Tennis right now. I want to try some more but I can't seem to stop playing those two. PSPersonalize is cool to, you deff want to get that set up. Im just sorting out the splash screen for fast loader at the moment, the Sponge Bob one is p!ss!ng me off as well as the load icon. Ive got a PBP unpacker so im going to make a better set. Ill upload it once I sort it out.

Anyways, hope you get it soon mate.

There's a stuck pixel program running around the net that actually got rid of the 2 stuck pixels I had on my PSP.  I was very amazed.  It seems you don't usually get as lucky as I did, but it's still worth a shot... it just might revive the pixel for ya.

What's the best way to get money back from ebay scammers?  Credit card w/ Paypal?  I could never even see an option to use credit card on Paypal's site.  Actually as a seller I sold someone merchandise, they paid, and then a month later they did chargebacks, I had no recourse and even went to the Atty General of their state, they did nothing at all.  Not only did I lose the $50 for 3 items but in addition Paypal charged ME FINES for each one.  And there's nothing anyone would do, even though I had an ebay rating of 400+.  So seems like the buyer has all the protection and the seller has none, in terms of credit cards.  I bought something recently with postal money order, hope I don't get royally screwed but the guy had pretty good feedback... should use CC from now on though...

I paid with paypal but unfortunatly it charges my bank card not my credit card. If it was paid from my card then I would be able to get the money back no problem and I intend to switch my card over to my credit card for future use. As it is paid from my bank card I have to go through eBay. I am going to report the non-sending seller tommorow ( I had to wait ten days after the auction ended), it will probably be a while before I get my money back but fingers x'd I should get it. If the seller was listed with paypal buyer protection it would have been even less of a problem but it wasn't. Thing is though the @rsehole seller included her address in the auction receipt and she only lives about half an hour away. I'm tempted to go get the money back myself by one means or another.

it arrived today!!!

....and its fantastic :) - wish i hadn't waited so long to get it

screen is perfect but unfortunately didnt come with headphones or a case - not big deal - its japanese psp so suppose they have to buy as extra

so you are using fastloader 7 - i just installed UMD Emulator 8 think its fastloader 8 seems ok

only thing is i wish the UI was a bit better (more like PSP system menu like with animated icons or something)

a plain text menu to select the iso file name just seems really dull

something i hope they will look at in future (or maybe there is way to make it more attractive?)

You can download preload screens from http://mobiles.gueux.be/modules/packs/index2.php like:

Put them in the isomisc folder with the exact name as the game. Oh yeah you need to change them to a 24bit .bmp too. Then when you cycle through the games you see the game in the background.
