Not sure how Pac-Man is narrow, but I'm pretty sure Jakobud's site has plans for that cab.

I think Pacman has a 24" CP width. Add 1 1/2" to account for the sides.

Cabarets will be even narrower, if you can find plans for those.

Also Frogger/Centuri style cabs are about 23" wide.
NO MORE!!

Hey
23 or 24 is good...it was just that my other 2 cabs were like 30" plus! and very tall..i want something more compact. Like the pacman etc.. do not have the big control panel that sticks out..know what i mean.. I checked out Jakobud his has the large panel i belive.. that sticks out. I have been looking seems a lot of the cabs from the 80s are sort of what i am after.....where the control panel is as wide as the entire unit....i just need to be able to fit at least 6-8 buttons per player

thx for the info fellas! any more info would be much appreciated!

TOOBIN'  ;)
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Check Jakobud's site again ... click 'Cabinet Plans' instead of 'MAME Cab' ...

Cheers.

There are quite afew on Jakobuds site for free download.  Pac, Nintendo... almost any of them are exactly what you want.

I have a personal preference to taito cabinets.

I am in the process of finishing up my cabinet and it sounds the design will fit your bill to.

On jakobuds site (i think) is where i found the plans i am using for a Moon Patrol cabinet. Mine was originally going to be a mame machine but i decided to get a neo geo 1 slot for it. I still need to add a back to mine, sand and paint and finish some wiring and i will be done.

Moon Patrol is a nice cabinet as it fits all your requirements, 23" control panel that does not extend beyond the sides, has that 80's look to it, i was able to fit a 2-player neo-geo layout with out any problems.

Something to ponder anyway.
