Author Topic: Qbert monitor cable [s] PHANTOM VOLTAGE [/s] knocker/wiring problems  (Read 1256 times)

I rewired the video signal cable on my qbert cause it was full of shorts, but now if that harness touches anything in that cabinet of even my hands, the speaker will make popping noises and the knocker will hit on and off...Help...What do I do Know???

Is the monitor frame ground wire connected properly?

Doesn't sound like it is.  When that harness touches something it's completing a circuit that shouldn't be completed.

Also the knocker fuse has been blown once, and the +30v fuse on the power board have also blown at seperte times

It's going to be a pain, but you might have to trace every wire and makre sure they are correct.
