video card and Wells 3100

Hey Everyone,

I've got an onboard Trident Blade Video card that I'm using with a Wells Garndner U3100 monitor.  I need to upgrade and get a card with direct 3d.  Does anyone know the best option.  I bought an nvidia one a long time ago but it didn't work real well.  It didn't seem to support lower resolutions.  Any help would be much appreciated.
