Arcaze keyboard / gamepad encoder
« on: November 17, 2005, 06:15:19 pm »
Saw this on the main page here...

Arcaze keyboard / gamepad encoder. Now that's somethin. Looks like it has a nice interface too. It's a bit steep on price ($60 US... plus shipping) but it can be configured as both keyboard and gamepad with support for (at least) 40 inputs. Definitely a contender for the European business if it's legit.

Nice thing too...

Prebuilt wiring harness. Handy. and not too expensive... compared to the cost of building your own. removable harness.

I know! I couldn't believe that my favorite Chicago pizza place wouldn't deliver to me here in Florida.  How dare they have a website if they're not willing to deliver their products worldwide!   There should be a law banning websites like these!!!!

Well obviously there are exceptions... a pizza can't be delivered by mail & still arrive in edible condition... but for electronics, what's the problem?

Giordanos will ship frozen across country...

As for electronics. A few problems.

1. Online store incapable of handling certain shipping options by default, proprietor too dumb/lazy/cheap/busy to correctly set up automated shipping for overseas transactions.
2. Merchant account will not accept overseas transactions.
3. Available shipping option is not set up to do automated overseas transactions through online store... proprietor doesn't want to spend time shipping.

I'd imagine its a combination of these 3. Having set up a number of web stores for clients, usually a mix of the 3 keeps them from taking overseas transactions, at least in the beginning. I imagine a ship like this is someone's side project. They may just not have the time.

 :D

I know, but it's so expensive!!!   I've tried a couple well reviewed Chicago-stuffed-pizza places around here and none hold a candle.   I've found that I'm better off making my own than trying to find a local place that even comes close.

Not with meat, they won't ... anymore ...

And they don't ship to Canada ... the most painful part of leaving Chicago, even 20 years later ...

Cheers.

That is the only thing that has kept me out of deepdish withdrawal for 20 years ... thankfully, it is not just a nickname for me.

Cheers.
