Well good luck, cuz boxes are rare. These things fetch on average around $40-$50, with some going as high as $75+.  That's without a box.

I have almost all of them. Only need a few more to complete my collection:

LOOKING FOR:
 - DK Jr.
 - Ms PacMan
 - AdventureVision
 - Q*Bert

I have all the rest!!!   :D

If you're under 30 and don't remember these things back when they were new, you're bound to be dissapointed when you actually see one in action. I think they're super-cool, but I had a couple as a kid.

I had the DK Jr. one and PacMan.

And I miss them dearly.

Actually, I'd probably mame (I don't think the team trademarked the verb) that PacMan. :)

Cheers,
KenToad

Interesting coicidence. I happen to have a dead pac-man tabletop that I got from none other than RayB. The plan is to MAME it once I can find a cheap enough pocketpc.

OK, that's uber-cool, but have you found a pocket pc that would fit the screen of the tabletop?

Is this way off in the future, really just a money issue (i.e. hard to justify with the wife)?  I'd love to see one of those tabletops playing real arcade games.

Cheers,

I haven't tested it to see if it would fit yet. I'm also considering using a Gameboy Advance, which would be a lot cheaper, and there are some arcade collections availabel for it.

I have Ms. Pac Man, Frogger, Pac Man and Donkey Kong displayed in my office.

Yeah...my office shouts "geek in here!"
Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?

Hmmm, no you must not have played the DK Jr. model.  That one was great.  I haven't played any of the ones that I didn't own.

Also, I had this crazy generic tabletop arcade game that was neat because you could see it from both sides, for two player action.  You fought this multi-armed robot in the middle.

I'll post if I can google it.

Cheers,
KenToad

*Edit* Found it.

Groovy, never seen one of those. It's like the Nintendo BBQ grill cocktail.

I played that one at a game show recently for about a half hour. I agree that it's one of the better ones.

DK Jr looks awesome!!!

I have played similar games to these but not the actual tabletops. I recently bought an old Galaga handheld that plays diagonally from the bottom left.

These games are so much fun! I have a hard time getting a very high score without getting frustrated, but I'm always coming back for more..

ps. I did have some sort of early tabletop video game system that I think took cartridges but had a game or two built in... I couldn't for the life of my remember what it was.

It was black, and I think the carts went in under the "screen". THat was a yardsale find when I was VERY young. Early early nineties.

Now that I see it, it is definately the right size and shape. Without going back in time it would be tough to say for sure. There wasn't a similar machine with a red screen was there?

Did you have a Vectrex with a red screen overlay?
