Wargods.chd wont load.

Ok I put Wargods  CHD files in its own directroy within the mame Roms directory and when I try to run it, I get a message saying that it can't find the CHD file?  Any idea? I'm running Dos advmame.63 and the newest version of ArcadeOS.  Thanks for any help provided!

By the way I also, downloaded the Wargod fix file, think this might help, but I can't seem to get it to patch correctly?

It has to be like that..

in your roms folder..there should be another folder.

say you wanna run Area51,
You have to have the zipped area51 rom in your roms directory AND

 have another folder(in roms directory) called "Area51" and in that folder you put your Area51 .CHD file..simple !

That's actually what I'm doing,  I put the wargods roms in my roms  directory and the wargods chd file in a directroy within my roms directory called wargods.

C:\mame\roms\wargods.zip (roms)
C:\mame\roms\wargods\wargods.chd  (chd)

I dont have wargod(the game is horrible btw=my o.02) yet otherwise i would go try and see what is goin on..did ya post elsewhere?

Yeah, I think I need to try and run that patch from the Torniquet site.  I couldn't fingure out how to patch it though

Do you just put the .z01 through .z06 in cfg. OR do i put the .chd in the cfg. or both. has anyone got the killerinstinct.chd from mame.dk to work?

You need Winzip 8.1 with splitted zip support.

Click on the the first wargods.chd file and it will look for the segmented zips.

Is war gods actually any fun to play?  I have the PC port of it laying around somewhere (it came with my voodoo1 4meg card) back in the day...

Sorry,  what I did was added the line

dir_image roms  

to my advamame.rc file and then placed the wargods.chd in the Image directory in my main mame directory.  It seems that advanced mame searches for CHD's in the Image directory and not in the rom/wargods directory.  Hope that make sense, if not let me know?
