Bowling for Columbine and F 9/11 are documentaries.  To say they're not is like saying that Lion King isn't a feature length animated film just because it sucks.  And there is a lot, probably a majority of material in those movies that is simply presented at face value.  Moore [i[IS[/i] an ass-hat.  He exaggerates and presents partial truths in order to deliberately mislead people into supporting his agenda, which is simply defeat the right-wing.
The thing I hate about Moore is his approach does more harm than good in the end, because people like Drew are able to credibly dismiss EVERYTHING he says as ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow--- by default.  Drew can say, "Oh, MM said it?  Well, that guy's an ass-hat liar so whatever he said is obviously not true."  Drew is probably wrong, but Moore puts Drew in a pretty strong position to make this claim.  Probably 75% of the stuff in F 9/11 is perfectly accurate, but you can only trust 0% cos you can't trust anything that comes out of the mouth of someone so disingenuous, who goes out of his way to mislead his friends (left-wingers).  And with a 25% chance of it being ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow--- you pretty much have to independantly verify each and every word before you can conclude that he was being straight with you.
...and so on.
