You may have to wait a while before you can play it at 100%...

"Aaron Giles sent in a TMS32031 CPU core and Williams V-Unit driver supporting Cruis'n USA and Cruis'n World complete with perfect sound emulation. P4
4 GHz or Athlon XP 4000+ recommended."

I tried playing it on a Athlon XP 2200 and it ran like a slug and that athlon ain't no slug :)

It was not playable.

Yep, same here. Just have to wait a few years to get a faster comp or hope the devs speed it up.

probably a never ending battle... if just as they have a cpu that can play all the roms.. they bring out some newer ones that require higher end cpu's..  maybe if the new arcade games don't escalate in requirements we can reach some sort of plateau

I haven't tried the game myself, but maybe this would help somebody (from Aaron Giles' faq at

http://www.aarongiles.com/faq.html

"It isn't as bad as you think. Turn off autoframeskipping. Set your frameskip value to 0. "

He's got a long answer that's interesting, too.
