Good Arcade Game for Cabinet
« on: November 02, 2005, 03:03:00 pm »
Found this while looking around for new stuff for my pocket PC.  Very few controls - trackball and one button, good graphics, addictive game play and a free demo.  Give it a shot.

Damn this is a fun game.  Simple game place.  Decent graphics.  Reminds me of the old Apple IIe Artillery game.

Good find.

Looks like the old game Scorch or Worms even.

Tank Wars was the best.  Scorched Earth was just a cheap ripoff to me...

Has anyone purchased the full version of atomic cannon?  My demo has just run out and I really enjoyed playing it.  I'm a little hesitant to drop $20 on this but would do so if the full version additions are worthwhile.  Also, any other demo or freeware games like this that have not been mentioned?  Thanks

The one that I remember playing was called "BOMB.EXE"

Same game, different graphics...

It still rocks.

I purchased it and really like it.

As a software develper myself, I have had no problems supporting Shareware developers.

Elfman, thanks for the input.  Yes, I think that I probably got at least $20 enjoyment out of the demo.  I really appreciate the time and effort that small developers put into the many demos out there (I tend to play games like these the most as they are usually short term games, like the old classics, that do not require massive amounts of playing time, got young kids = not possible).  I am definitly leaning towards buying it, just wanted some feedback on the advanced features.  Also, since you purchased it you may be able to answer this question for me.  Are you able to move your purchased copy from computer to computer.  I'm in the process of building a new computer and would like to be able to play it on both my cabinet and pc.  If not then I will have to wait until my computer is finished before I get it.  Thanks again

Yes, you can use your copy on more than one computer.  It does have to validate you Registration Key though through the internet.  I have this running on my work machine and my home machine without problems.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
