Question on J Stick switch
« on: October 30, 2005, 02:57:43 pm »
I have a cocktail cabinet with a j stik 4/8 way switcable installed.  I need to be able to use both when necessary.  8 way is needed for Qbert ( thanks NoOne=NBA= for the faq on that ) and 4 way for Pac-Man, DK and the like ( I've killed poor little Mario way to many times ) . The table has metal control panels, what I'd like to know is if anyone has fashioned a way to switch the stick between mode ( such as a knob on the bottom ), I may be able to add some T stick ball top pluses, but thought maybe this would work also, does anyone know if the plus'es and j stick use the same mounting.

Thanks

Tim

I remember seeing a post here a couple years ago where someone added lever that came out the front of his CP. Slide the lever, and the stick switches from 4 to 8 or the other way. I don't remember if it was done on a J-stick or a T-stick. Maybe you can find it with a search.

I think someone also brought up the idea of using a motor to turn the restrictor plate around...not sure if anyone completed this tho.
