Capcom Plug and Play TV Game
« on: October 29, 2005, 08:29:19 pm »
I'm wondering whether anyone here has bought one of these.

I'm thinking of getting one primarily because it plays Ghosts & Goblins but I'm wondering how accurate the emulation is.

Thanks in advance.

I have a question that maybe someone here can answer. Why is it that all consoles and a vast majority of arcade games are joystick left, yet almost all of these plug and play units are joystick right?

Yes I've wondered that. I've already got one of the Pacman units and the joystick on the right really irritates me.

The emulation on the Pacman unit is only so so. The graphics are fine but the sound is awful. That's why I'm wondering whether the g&g unit is any better.

I love the joystick on the Space Invaders unit, almost arcade feel IMHO but obviously not as durable.

My guess is they copied home computer sticks rather than arcade ones.  I recall a lot of people (me included) used their right hand for the joystick back in the 8-bit days.
