plans for sitdown (not driving) cabinet
« on: October 29, 2005, 01:56:31 am »
Hi all,

Hope you are all well. I was wanting to build something similar to this:

http://www.highway.net.au/parts/cabinets/4615.html

This seems to the norm for arcade cabinets in cinemas in Australia. They are medium sized arcade where players sit down (with half-height barstool-like seats) to play the games. If you follow the link you can see that they are not exactly cheap so I am planning to build something similar and save money. Does anyone know the dimensions for these types of cabinet (or anything similar)? Or better, are there plans available out there already.

Appreciating any help!

Cheers,
feeras

I don't know of any plans for cabs like these because (I believe) they're made out of plastic and metal.

That being said, do a search for "candy cab" because that seems to be the term for them.

Quarterback,

Thanks for the info. I didn't realise they were called candy cabs. This opens up a new round of searching.

Cheers
