iPod Juke Idea
« on: October 28, 2005, 01:53:01 pm »
This idea goes for the cool factor, not the functional factor.  iPods are "cool" right now.  So my idea is to build a juke that looks like a giant iPod.  You'd need juke software that worked like the iPod's, which is really just a drill-down navigation system.  Then you'd just need to rig up the control panel to look like a giant ipod wheel.  Ideally, this would be a wall mounted lcd-based system, in order to get "the look".  Bonus points if you used a pair of white satellite speakers with speaker wire painted white to make it look like the ear-buds.
No, I'm not planning on building this as I don't even have the time to build a simple, traditional looking juke.  But if someone does build this, please post the pictures.

Can anyone else tell it is Friday and I don't really feel like doing what I'm supposed to be doing?
