Trim lexan or plexi edges with router?

I scored a big sheet (like 2'x5') of 1/4" thick lexan or plexi while cleaning out a closet at work the other day. First off, I don't know if it's lexan or plexi (I'm assuming lexan is better, right?). Is there any way to tell which it is?

Secondly, can you trim the edge of either lexan or plexi with a flush cut router bit like you can with formica? If not, what's the best way to make the edge of the lexan flush with your cp material?

Using a router with a flush bit is probably the best way to cut plexi/lexan, IMO.  It leaves a perfectly clean & straight edge.  When cutting material 1/4" thick I would use a 1/2" bit, though.

Ahh... That's wonderful news! Do you mean 1/2" long, or 1/2" shank?

I meant a 1/2" cutter diameter, which is typically available in either a 1/4" or 1/2" shank.

I have a 1/2" bit x 1" long with a 1/2" shank, and it is invaluable.  Probably my best investment in terms of the bits I have.
