FS [US-MD/DC] Project Cabinet (Gone)
« on: October 25, 2005, 09:35:04 am »
EDIT:  This has been taken

Well, the time has finally come.  Due to upcoming space needs in my house, and the fact that I've sat on this project for almost 3 years without making progress, I need to get rid of my project Cab.

The cabinet is a Reactor cabinet, some water damage around the bottom (Very repairable with some sandpaper and Minwax wood hardener).  The original Marquee is there and in good shape.  The original Control panel has been cut to ribbons when the cab was converted (twice, from what I can tell), but I had a new metal CP made and cut it for a Capcom 6 button layout.  The monitor is standard res, and was re-capped when I bought it (There is some small burn-in from a video slot machine).  I'm including the plexi I cut for the monitor, just needs tinted/painted.  I'm also including the coin door, which is in good shape, but needs repainting.  I'll also throw in the Token Mechs and a few pounds of tokens.  I also have a few joysticks and buttons that should bring this project to completeion.  All it'll need is a little love, a PC and an encoder and you'll be good to go.  Unfortunately, I just don't have the time or the inclination to complete this project.

All I'm asking is for less than half the money I've put into the project so far, $100, or best offer.

Cab is in Rockville, MD.  MSG me if interested.

Abrannan,
[rant]
What are you doing? Stop and think MAN! Do you really want to get rid of that nice Reactor cabinet? I was there with you when you picked it up!

I say add a hacked keyboard, and a roadside PC, and ebay it for at least 600$
I've done it 4 times.
[/rant]

Anyways, good luck selling it, You'd get more parting  it off on ebay. That working monitor alone is worth at least 50, and for someone who wants that reactor cab (rare cab), you could get some coinage for it.

Okay, so the potential buyer I had fell through, and this is still available.  Anyone?

One bump.  In a few weeks I'll begin parting this out, so let me know if you're interested in any of the individual parts.
