if you shave ?referral=386 off the link you posted then the guy who gave that to you won't get any free service either.
my personal opinion is you gotta do some work for these deals.
well of course you have to do some work... its not actually a totally free PSP. Everyone would grab one if all you had to do was sign up.
Here's how it works (at least the sites run by Gratis)
1) you sign up for the site, making a name and password for yourself (hopefully you signed up under someone to help them out)
2) you choose one of 15 or so offers to do. These change regularly, but you can usually find some Credit Card applications, some free trials, free offers etc. Most are only $1-2, with some being totally free. Others like blockbuster are $10, but you get service for a month.
3) you then get friends to sign up under you, make a name, and do an offer.
4) At some point you have to cancel your offer (unless you choose to keep it). This could require a phone call, an online chat, an email, or a simple press of a button on a site.
5) once you get the number of refs, the company looks over your account for any fraud/problems/etc.
6) you get your free gift.
I was VERY skeptical of these things until my roommate got his free PSP. They really do work. Between my roommate and I, we've gotten a free Ipod, PSP, Nintendo DS, and I should have my nano very soon. Yes you have to do some work, and it can be hard to convince people to do offers, but if you really explain it, you should have some luck. I'd say in general, I probably put 4 or 5 hours into really trying to get offers, and I've completed 2 sites.
