Help needed to split axis on trackball *got it Thanks*
« on: October 20, 2005, 12:32:53 pm »
I have a 2 player super off road cab that I am trying to get set up. I have both wheels hooked up to a minipac trackball interface. This way I can use the wheels as a mouse in windows to load up the FE or whatever (one is the x axis, the other the y axis). I can not figure out however how to get mame to recognize the y axis as the player 2 wheel. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

Thanks, Patrick

You should be able to do it in the in game menus (press tab and then go under controls).  Make sure you have specified that the game uses the mouse too in your frontend.

Yeah, you should just be able to press enter as you did and then spin it hard back and forth and it will pick it up.  If it's not, you probably need to enable the mouse in your frontend (I think it's disabled by default).

Are you setting this under "Input (General)" or "Input (This Game)"?  Try doing it for "this game".  Have you tried seeing if it picks up the other axis?  Also what version of MAME are you using?
