Neuros Audio 80 Gigabyte mp3 player.
« on: October 13, 2005, 06:37:12 pm »
Hey guys, I'm in need of some extra cash and decided to sell off my mp3 player.

The Neuros is a pretty cool device. It has a massive 80 gigs of storage, built in FM transmittor and radio. The sound quality really is top notch and the unit itself was hardly used. It's only a month old and comes with an aftermarket carrying case. Yeah, it also supports ogg.

If anybody is interested shoot an email my way. I was hoping to get about 285 for it and the carrying case. Willing to toss a few things in extra if needed but I need the cash. My email is jpanichella@gmail.com

Thanks

Okay, after taking a shower I am able to give a proper description of this device.

First of all, a little background on the company. Neuros Audio was once called Digital Innovations until they took the name of their star product, the Neuros. One great thing about the company is the customer service. The CEO of the company frequents the boards regularly and he is a great guy to say the least. No other company I have ever dealt with provided the public with such a say in the product. Right now they are in the middle of testing their personal video player and they included forum members in the gamma launch to get some feedback and improve on the unit before it's release. Another great thing is the fact that they offer trade in's for their product when a newer one rolls around.

The player itself is truly capable of many things. The FM transmitter is very powerful and a great thing for cars that lack a tape deck to use a tape adapter. It's integrated right into the software, whenever you remove the headphone plugs it transmits to a set station. It also has your standard FM radio and you can record radio directly to the hard drive if you want.

The unit also has a built in mic which is good for taking personal notes, but not powerful enough to record lectures without an external mic. It also has 5 preset buttons down the side of the player which can be set to any artist, album, radio station, etc.

The sound quality is the area where this thing rocks though. Loud and clear with an adjustible EQ.

Now, there are some cons, the unit is not perfect. First, the size. It's  very large for a portable, that's why I mostly used it for my car and I kept it in my backpack a lot too. The reason for it's size is an interchangable backpack concept. The actual player is quite small but it attaches to a backpack, which holds the HD and the battery, which accounts for most of it's size.

If you guys have any questions feel free to ask. I really do like the player but I need money to buy myself a good desktop for college.
