Any interest in a 27" standard resolution monitor
« on: October 12, 2005, 08:00:12 am »
Im thinking about selling the monitor out of my super neo 29 candy cab its a 29" (27" in the us) it works perfect and its still in the cab so I can get pics of it working. Im wanting to sell it to help pay for a betson. Even If your not interested in buying it Id like to get some opinions on a good asking price.

Don't know what they're worth, but it's possible I'm interested depending on your asking price and the actual height, width & depth of the entire assembly.

FYI, those 29" japanese monitors have a frame with different mounting points than US 27" monitors, so two things, 1) you will not be able to simply put in a WG d9200 or Beton Imperial without swapping frames, 2) anyone who picks this monitor up would have to install in a custom cab as the mounting point won't line up.

oh, one more thing, these japanese monitors run off 100V from your japanese power supply, so anyone interested in buying this needs a stepdown converter or similar isolation transformer to lower the output voltage to 100V.

I talked to someone on the board who has swapped in the betson imperial and they said everything fit and they just had to redrill some of the holes. As far as using a different power supply I hadnt thought about that. It sounds like this would only be desirable for someone to put back into another candy cabinet.
