WinXP Task bar duplication?
« on: October 11, 2005, 05:17:31 pm »
Hey guys... got a weird one for you.

The boxes (for running applications) in my taskbar are duplicated
and I have 2 of everything I open.

example:  If I have WORD and OUTLOOK open, I will see the appropriate
boxes on the bottom for both applications, but off on the right side of the
task bar, there is another set of WORD and OUTLOOK boxes.
These are not 2nd instances of the program.... meaning if I close out of WORD,
 both boxes will dissapear.

When I 'unlock' the taskbar, I see a dotted separator between the two groups
and can move it left or right a bit, but this is really annoying.

If I look at the active toolbars, the ONLY one active is the QuickLaunch (which
I want to keep active)

I've tried searching Microsoft's site for this, but just must not be guessing the
right keywords... anyone ever run into this?

...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"
