One of the guys who did a rotating CP has 3d models of a super and of pushbuttons.

It isn;t so much as I want a 3D model, but I want a top down view with accurate shading :)

You should be able to download the 3d model and then change the view and render it yourself. I don't know what kind of software you have access to but thats what I would do. :)

yes, that is what I am going to do now that I found the models.  MY sister is an engineer, so I will have her do that :)

i might be able to help, what kind of color are you shooting for, size, scale etc.. depends on how photorealistic your shooting for.
my quadro card burned out last week becuase the fan failed over the weekend, so my RealView rendering doesnt work. what you see below is the best i can do with what i have at the moment as far as photorealism.

i ordered a new Quadro 3000 card, it will be here in 7-12 days, i can give you photorealistic renders then.
until then ,here are som high res basic top down views for you to manipulate in photoshop.
these will look nice if you scale them down in even 50% increments.color them in full size first, then reduce them.

hli shaded

uhg, what a horrible shader.  The shading of the concave part is backwards. If the light is coming from the right the left side of the concave should be lighter.
I don't know, there's something about it I don't like also.

Thanks anyway.

yea, i totally agree, the standard software opengl shader is horrific.
only 12 more days then its back to photrealistic renders
