Bent microswitches a normal thing?
« on: October 09, 2005, 11:19:45 pm »
I just received my joysticks and when I opened the box I noticed that some of the metal connections on the microswitches are bent, around 30 degrees off center.  Is this normal shipping damage, and is this fixable, or should i ask whom i ordered them from for extra microswitches or some other resolution?

thanks for the info.

unless they are cracked/broke you'll be fine.  Last time I got some Supers in the mail, a few micros were a bit bent.. just carefully bend them back and you'll be good to go.  You can keep them bent as well, it won't harm anything.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

It happens. Just don't bend them back unless you really need to. To do so really weakens the tab and next thing you know, they break off.
NO MORE!!

The last time I ordered parts, I found that all 4 of my joysticks had bent leads.

Now I wonder why they just don't ship the switches loose instead of attached to the base.
