EASY:
First unplug the router.
Use the lever on the side of the router to lock the spindle.  Then use the wrench that came with the router to lossen the collet or chuck that is holding the slot cutter in place.  The slot cutter shouls slide out when the collet is lossened.

It looks like any other cheap wrench that comes with a power tool. :P

Any open wrench will do though, as long as it is the right size. You just need to fit it to the hex shaped black part right there where the bit plugs into.

Could be black or silver and made of flat metal stock.

Mine came with two wrenches. You use both at the same time (one on each of those hex thingies) and in two directions. Gives you awesome leverage to ensure a bit is in there really good or to free it.

You can use two adjustable wrenches too. You don't need the cheapie ones that came with the router.

That Ryobi locks the spindle with the button / lever that is on top of the motor housing.

Once it's locked, either get the wrench that came with it, or any 9/16" wrench you have laying around.  With the bit up, insert the wrench into the open window on the side of the router, put the wrench on the black hex nut just below the bit, and turn counterclockwise to loosen the chuck.  Then just pull the bit out.
