SHUMP cabs

Want to build one but cant find good cabs to base designs on.  I found ones for galaga and such but these are to old.  I was hoping for something newer does anyone own a don don pachi and wouldnt mind posting dimensions on the shape from the side.

Also most or all shumps have 8 ways and 2 buttons correct.

i personally like the neo-geo style cabnets for shutemups.  with a vertical monitor, 2-players, and with 2 or 3 button, and no overhanging cp it works out perfectly for 2-player shootemups.

When I think of a SHMUP CAB, I think of a japanese candy cab.  No construction needed there.  Some SHMUPS use 3 buttons so I'd include 3.  Sometimes it is nice to assign the third button to rapid fire as well so you don't have to keep smashing button 1.

Yeah when I think of Shmups I think Candy Cab.  I mean how could you not want to play you Shmups in one of these?

The only other Cab I think of is the cabs that shmups like 1943 and AeroFighters came in.  But I'd much rather play my Shmups in one of those Exceleena Blue cabs.

Alright i almost finished my design.  It will be in three pieces-base, cp, and montior cover.  Since i cant get a candy cab im going to make an upright based on other cabs.  Im going to have cup holders in the cp.  Someone mentioned 3 buttons and i cant seem to find which games use them so can someone say which do.  I wnat to play vertical shoters like 1945kiii, dondonpachi, and gunbird.

It'll be a red and black scheme-black for the cab and red t molding.

the controls will include

2x joysticks-need advice for which ones
4x or 6x buttons for fire
2x start
1x esc

and eventually a coin mech for 2 players

any ideas are welcome escpecially for which buttons should be which color.  thanks

What's a SHUMP cab?  Is that the 3 stooges cab, special edition?

Shump cabs are shootem up games like 1945kiii and dondonpachi.  basically your playing as a jet and have to shoot other jets, ground based vehivles, and at the end of each stage is a boss usually a tank or flying fortress or a mech.
