Mame PCB

Hi,

I saw this "Mame PCB" on Ebay while I was searching for a cabinet to buy. I'm still new to the arcade scene, so this might sound like a dumb question.

But do any of you guys know how he would have wired his power supply to his motherboard? Because when I get my cabinet, I'd like to have it so I could swap out my PC Board for a real arcade PCB.

It appears the item has its own power supply (the gray box on the bottom right in his picture). It looks like it's just a computer without a case, and a J-Pac hooked up.

LOL.

Tristan is right.... all that is is a decased PC with a Jpac on a wood board.  It is not a "mame pcb"    It's just a regular old computer attached to a Jpac.

His power supply is a regular PC powersupply.  If you wanted to use Jamma boards besides this, you'd have to keep the switching power supply in the cab most likely.

It's pretty funny though, if you read the product description, the guy doesn't even know how big the hard drive is.

Looks a bit like my set-up. Naturaly mine looks A LOT better :D

Although...this picture is already outdated...especialy when the new mobo,proc, power supply and memory arrive tonight...

Already ordered and received the ArcadeVGA, so a complete new "brains" for my cab and hopefully finaly some decent playing on it :)

Your setup looks pretty cool!

I was wondering one thing though.

What is that white box that is sitting next to your green drill?

Anyway, your "Mame PCB", looks like it is in much better condition than the one on Ebay. Nice work!!

Oh, I think I see what it is now. It's the LED display for the harddrive, and CD-Rom... I think....

Thanks for the compliments, but actualy it is now already quite different. The big 5.25" drive has gone, only using a single 30 GB 3.5" now.

I took the metal frame from the PC case that the PCB was in. This is a "slide-in" case. Very handy, because now I could screw the video and soundcard to the metal, so it's sturdy.

I received new stuff and gonna mount it today, will put up a pic when finished....
