I wouldn't have used this on a control panel, or anything that gets touched - it'd be wrecked by now. It seems pretty comparable to some of the stuff I've seen side art printed on.
I actually put a small tear in it moving the cabinet, and just lightly burshing a table top. At this point, the application was about 2 hours old, though, now that the adhesive has fully cured, it feels a whole lot tougher. It's not going to get that much abuse in it's new home, except maybe the kickpanel. Worst comes to worst I just strip it off and paint the cab.
As far as looks, though, I'm digging it. I could have spent more time squeezing out bubbles - and wiping off spatters of glue from the spray can, as if you get close, they show through somewhat. But for a half hours worth of work, it did the job, and the cabinet looks pretty slick.
I'd recommend it to someone who doesn't want to fuss around for a week to get a good paint finish, or without the tools/etc to do laminate, etc. It was pretty much mess-free and could be done in your living room (sans spray adhesive), if you just want to re-face an ugly cab.
