Used.

Works very well.  The performance is on par with my Venus cooler and completely silent.

Keep in mind that case ventilation is extremely important with a heat pipe setup.  Also, some motherboards rely on the CPU fan to cool the Northbridge.  There are mounting points on this unit for an additional fan if necessary or desired.

This thing is huge.  It fits perfectly in my Lian-Li PC61 as it should in any ATX case.  Keep ventilation in mind though.  Can't say it enough.  I bought an Ultra xconnect power supply to open up airspace.

Yes, the reviews for this heatsink say you need good airflow.  Especially if your northbridge needs the cpu fan airlfow which it won't get after this.

I've seen the reviews, impressive for  a fanless.  Which makes me wonder if you add a fan it should work very good.  Could even get a low rpm fan to keep the noise down.

Are you really going to put the $12 model on your athlon64?

Your CPU won't fry as cooling sites/stores try to scare people but it will not be stable.  You'll crash in Arkanoid repeatedly.

Maybe you need one of those human coolers.  Seriously, lighten up.  I know you used the theoretical "CAN" and I continued what I suspected would be discussion.  I didn't accuse you of thread jacking or killing my sale, I simply replied to your post.

Peace.
