Tron joystick shafts
« on: September 29, 2005, 01:41:26 pm »
Has anyone had experience in constructing Tron joystick shafts? I know 1UP is currently working on mass producing shafts for the Happ Comp & Supers, but I hate to keep pestering him on availability. I have all of the other parts - the handles from Special Plastics and the inners and Comps from Happ. All I need now is the hollow shafts to pull it all together.

If anyone has been successful at constructing or modify shafts, what did you use for parts? Is the easiest course of action to purchase some Happ shafts from either their heavy-duty analog or 8-way sticks and modify them?

I figure that 1UP will have them released at some point, but there's no harm in trying to make them myself in the meantime.

and i thought i was the only one waiting for 1UP.  i pester him once a month, but i'm just going to keep at it.  awesome build by the way, it looks great.  on a side note though, i thought the shaft was supposed to be bent to angle it towards the cp?
