vertical mame cab $325 w/ arcade vga (working but needs finishing)
« on: September 25, 2005, 06:25:09 am »
i was building this cab for ebay but have run out of time and motivation to finish it. all the hard work is done, needs a marquee, t-molding and a back door. i would also recommend a smoked plex bezel, but it's not necessary.

located in springfield, mo

the monitor does have ms. pac burn. i will include a burn free tube you should be able to swap out with this one. if a smoked bezel is installed you'll never see the burn.

the comp is a pent II 400 running an early mame set. runs the old vertical games just fine.

cab is working right now but needs some tweaking on the software side. nothing major just get the screen shots right, filter out the non-vertical games, set the resolutions....stuff like that. i have game launcher installed at the moment.

here's what i've done so far:

stripped the cab and cleaned it
dismantled, cleaned, and rebuilt the coin door
repainted the speaker grill
installed monitor
built iso transformer block
built shelf for pc
fabricated cp w/ all new parts
wired in keywiz eco (no solder version)

what's left:

software polishing
backdoor
mount the included speakers
marquee
locks
t-molding
i would recommend replacing the ply1 joystick as it has trouble with the down direction, but it does work as is.

pm me or email crsdawg@yahoo.com if interested.
