Vindicators Yoke (joystick) availability?
« on: September 22, 2005, 10:09:14 am »
I have a vindicators game that I have broke the round steel tubing on - anybody have any ideas where to get a replacement. Metal fatigue finally took its toll. I am new to this forum so please be nice if I'm in the wrong place.

Cheers,
Erc

I don't think I have seen replacements anywhere :(

Maybe you could have a machine shop or metal worker make a repro metal tube?  From looking at a picture of the controller it looks pretty much like handles attached to metal tube...it might be possible.

Cool game btw, I remember playing it as a kid (I was terrible at it) :)

BTW Welcome to the board!

ebay will probably be your best bet.
They pop up on there from time to time.

If you get a set made, make sure they pay close attention to the size and radius on the bend.
If they get too far out of tolerance, it's almost impossible to get the handles back on--especially if they make the radius too small on the handle.

Not to bump an old thread for no good reason..

Should go cheap (not my auction, I just remembered this thread and I'm a helpful guy)

:(
Bummer I just paid $100+ for a the complete guts (PCBs and everything) so I could get a new controller. Maybe I should by this so I have 2 complete systems (minus case, monitor, and PS).

On the bright side you can never have too many spare parts! (My wife is going to love me!)

Cheers,
Eric
