Magnifying Monitor Glass?
« on: September 21, 2005, 04:26:52 pm »
Was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a large piece of magnifying glass/plexi to use instead of monitor glass. This way my monitor (about 17") would look way bigger and maybe have a more granulated look. Thanks for any advice.

They used to sell big fresnel lenses that sat in front of your tv to make it bigger. Made it look all wavy and funny.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

It would probably be cheaper to buy a bigger monitor. I can't imagine that a magnifier of that size would be cheap.

Ouch, didn't really think it would be expensive. Good responses, thanks. The image tracing you describe might even be a cool effect on the right games though (having a spot-light on your climber as he escalates the buildings in Crazy Climber? Prolly would give you a head ache though!)
