WTB: decent/great PC Joystick (-FL-)
« on: September 19, 2005, 09:27:14 am »
I was playing StarWars Galaxies like always, and suddenly my ship wont turn right?!?!

Ever since it takes forever to turn right, and when i turn left it turns flawlessly, i tried joystick sensitivity, callibrating, even taking it apart to see if somthing was loose but nothing...

so im giving up on my old Stick (im at school school so i cant determine the model) ...So if anyone has a decent one they dont use anymore, or whatever or stopped playing a certain PC game and have one left over GIVE ME A SHOUT!  im sobbing here over my ships inability to turn... >.<

PM sent.  If you're in South Florida, maybe we can setup a pickup.
Here's to those who say they do...
Here's to those who say they don't...
Here's to those who say they will
And later decide they won't.

Best advice I can give you, go on e-bay and look for a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro. I got mine for ~$5 and I liked it so much I bought a backup.  I went through 3 different Logitech sticks that all failed in some way or another but this $5 MS beauty is still working perfectly after 2 years.

I want my own arcade controls!

Yea, I've been very disappointed in Logitech's joysticks.  I went through 3 brand new ones which all failed within months (I play Desert Combat with a clan; lots of heated dog-fighting).  The MS "Sidewinder Precision Pro" has held up for two years and it cost me <$10.00 on e-bay.
