affixing cp top to cp main box
« on: September 18, 2005, 08:12:14 pm »
back a few months ago, in my haste, i didn't realize i put the back on my cp box without having some of those wood/velcro strips set up yet.

i've since thrown in some putty in the screw holes, and then primed and painted it (black.)

thus, if you haven't already figured it out, my question is:

are there any other techniques to connect the cp top to the main compartment?  I'd rather not use something semi-permanent like an L-bracket on the outside for multiple reasons.

A lot of ppl use hinges, so that the top can be flipped open to service the sticks/buttons.

I used 4 chunks 'o velcro, one in each corner.  Holds pretty well, no problems noticed yet.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

I recommend the hinges - every once in a while I find myself working on it -- I also do this to switch my tsticks to and from 4/8 way...

so nothing i didn't already know...hmm...might be undoing the back of the box so i can throw some velcro strips on wood inside.  (and get them aligned perfectly)
