is this a mspacman plus pcb???
« on: September 18, 2005, 02:27:56 am »
I recently bought a mspacman board on ebay. It was listed a a mspac attack/plus board and is marked pac-3. I know it is a clone board and it looks like it has been modified.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6206551759&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 This link has screenshots and a pic of the board

Would this board be a mspacman plus or ms pacman? How common do you think it woud be?? It has the same screenshot as klov.com listing for mspacman plus Thanks

Not sure about the PCB, but the screenshot is clearly of MsPacPlus.

What you have is a common pacman bootleg that has been hacked to run mspacman bootleg roms, with the maze roms replaced with ms pac  attack or possibly even the entire bootleg mspac plus rom set  from mame.  A real ms pac plus would run on an original midway pacman board with daughter board on a ribbon cable to hold the extra roms.  BTW we are still looking for a real ms pacman plus set, the set in mame is a hack and not from a real board.
