it says: only support for 480p, 720p, or 1080i games, 480i games are not supported on monitor.

will this mean i can only play those ps2 games with the high def output on my computer moniter?  I will be switching between ps2 and my PC  and i want to know if its worth it if i could only play certain games...

Precisely.
It only works for games that support progressive-scan or hi-def.

There's upscan boxes that work with 480i signals.

Can't remember the name right now, though...

I remember reading the the teamxbox review there is a switch on the side that will switch to 480i...I just bought one the other day and am waiting for it in the mail.  will give a full review when I get it.

and its component to vga not composite.
