Building cabinet from scratch
« on: September 12, 2005, 02:25:54 pm »
Going to be starting school next week and have an 8th period shop class lined up.  i've looked over several sites and cant seem to find the right design for the inside frame.

I think the only wood available is about 3/4" thick and i will have to glue two pieces together cause each is only 8 1/2" across and length isnt a problem.  So my question is if anyone has built anything before with wood what is a good design that will hold a 40 pound monitor and a 20 poundish pc tower.  Keep in mind that i will have wheels on the bottom and possibly will have 3 parts-control panel, base, and the case for the monitor and speakers that are only like 1 pound.  (weights are estimates).

This part belongs in selling but if i have time i can make more cabinets so if anyone wants one for like 60 dollars (not sure on price of wood) let me know.
Thanks.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.
