Hooking Up Car Amp
« on: September 11, 2005, 12:05:51 pm »
So I've hooked up a car amp to my 13.8V power supply.  Turned on the power and the amp sits there, dead.  Then I noticed that there's a "remote head turn-on" terminal block.  I assume the amp is not turning on because there's obviously no head unit.  So the question is, what needs to be hooked onto that post that will turn the amp on?   Would I hook it right into the power supply? (scared to try because of the potential for frying something)  The manual is no help at all.

you need to jumper the remoter terminal to the +12volt terminal and then it will fire right up.
