pacman original pricing?

someone at work (pinball guy) wanted to know how much pacmans (or puckmans) sold for originally.

Anyone know?

Just to show my age... my reply to him for the same question was 1 token... and you could get 10-12 tokens for a dollar...

There are some Atari production documents that list uprights from that era as averaging $2000 u.s. as "intro price". What I'm not clear on is whether that is their manufacturing cost, wholesale cost, or suggested retail cost.

Then maybe you should have read through the documents. They were scans of "internal" documents not meant for anyone outside the company.
