Replacement For Bob?
« on: September 04, 2005, 07:46:51 pm »
While Bob Roberts is... away... where are you guys ordering from?  I was thinking about arcadeshop.com, I need to get an isolation transformer ($13) and a cap kit ($10) for a WG 4600 series.  Not as good as Bob's prices though... any other suggestions?

I haven't really priced them out for anything yet, but I have ordered stuff Bob didn't have from www.mouser.com Let's just hope Bob is okay. I wish we knew for sure that he left the area.  :(

I went to www.weather.gov and they had some aerial photos of the whole area.  It looked like the southern part (which is where he reportedly lives) was pretty much dry and the buildings didn't seem to be in aweful shape.  My guess is that the whole area got evacuated anyway, and since there's no power there he couldn't contact anyone even if he wanted to.

Based on the photos, my guess is that he weathered the storm even if he chose to ride it out.

Can't anyone else comment on where they order such things from?

Yup flybacks and capkits from Zanen Electronics. For most everything else you could go to arcadeshop.com or mikesarcade.com
