Groovy,

Perhapse in the future you could drop it in a cab, and it could still be rotated, like this modular example:

http://www.beersmith.com/mame/controls.htm

If you like it on a laptop, you'd love it in a cab!

I was wondering what the heck that was in your avatar. Cool little project.
I'd make that button black so it disappears and I think a red ball-top would be a better fit..retro-wise.

Nah...

Pac-Man never ate invisible pellets. :P

I personally like the blue stick better than a red, especially with the idea of having it flash when the ghosts are also blue and edible. :)

BTW LOVE it!

as for the modular... Don't do it...

But having a rotatable control panel would be REALLY COOL

Build a cab (maybe one of those smaller ones that have the monitor really angled back without a marquee on top...don't know the name of the cabinet style...

Then have as the control panel your control panel on a lazy susan... Since they have ball bearings around the outside and an empty middle.   Make sure the whole control panel is showing will be the hard part.  Then add a screw on the bottom (and open a track or move the screw to the inside of the lazy susan).. but add restrictions to the end so it can only rotate 45 degrees for qbert!

That would be VERY cool!

It's fun seeing how many of their products the "add to cart" button works for.  Most redirect you to the only product they actually have; a 4k media streamer that costs triple what a 4k firetv does.

CheffoJeffo - when ahigh first came here, wasn't he working with Foley or friends with the felon or something like that?  I'm fairly certain that Foley directed him here.  I would go back through his posts to look but....

I had forgotten, but you are correct -- here's a surviving reference:

Here's a story about the game.

http://www.ultracade.com/news/93/ultracade8482-gets-playmeters-cover-story

In case anyone forgot, there are rules for posting on here.  Everyone always overlooks them as a special case any time the word "UltraCade" or the name "David Foley" appears, which is unfair in my opinion.

If the rules for this forum were enforced, all hate-filled messages related to UC and DF would be removed from this forum permanently and sent to post-hell.

But apparently, even the moderators of the forum are in full support of this UC "boycott" as IF anybody here ever even bought one thing from UC.

I feel like nobody treats me like a member of the forum, and instead ridicules me because I work for David.

I'm personally very upset about this.  I'd really like all you guys to stop bashing UC.

I know these requests will fall on deaf ears.  That's fine.  But I just thought I would post my mind up once again.

I knew you'd have it somewhere.  Same database as the Tommy quotes?   ;D

Hey Ahigh, how's your boy doing?  Gotta be rough being away from his family.
