Nintendo Power and Fun Club News
« on: August 22, 2005, 12:01:47 pm »
Curious how many people have their Nintendo Power and/or Fun Club News from the NES days?

Anyone still reading them?

My parents threw mine away, but I was feeling Nestalgic and bought an almost complete set of Nintendo Power's from the early days on EBAY.  I still have one or two issues of Sunsoft News, but don't have any of my Fun Club News.  I was thinking of scanning them in so that I have a backup of them.  I'm missing a couple issues, but I still like reading them now.  Back in the day I couldn't wait to get them in the mail and read them cover to cover multiple times.

I still have the first issue of Nintendo Fun Club News as well as the first issue of Nintendo Power. Don't know if they're worth anything, though. They're pretty beat up. I always participated in the contests, though I never won. I appreciated the fact that the magazine was actually full of articles rather than advertisements.

I actually have every single Nintendo Power to date.  Each year they give away some stradegy guide with a year update so I just keep renewing.  Now I have to build some type of shelving to put them all up someday.

I was a Nintendo power subscriber for 4 years starting with issue #1.  I eventually just threw them all away with the exception of the Final fantasy stradegy guide and map, which i still have somewhere i believe

I have a box of Nintendo Powers I bought at a yard sale a year back.  Probably 15-20 issues.  Good stuff.
