This weekend I earned some stripes. It is now around 4:30 in the morning, and I have to be at work in four hours. Let me give you a little recap of my Sunday:
Noon: I decide that today is the day that I'm gonna make the flashing light for my new start button (Its inside the block "O"):

So, I head off to get the parts and pieces and construction begins.
2 PM: Construction is halted by the honey do list.
6 PM: Back on track. If you are familiar with me, you know nothing on this cab comes to me very easily. Construction continues (Soldering is not a strong point).
9 PM: Finished! I proceed to the cabinet where I just retro installed hinges on Saturday. If you noticed the block "O" on the front of the control panel, it took a little router action to make it work. So I hook up all my wires, plug everything in..........and nothing. Well, I take that back. The turn signal actuator I tried to use was clicking, but no light. Not exactly the result or noise I was expecting. I figured as much. So from underneath the t.v. I asked my darling wife to please unplug the contraption. Just as she gets close, wham! The control panel slammed down. No broken controls, but the area with the bobblehead exploded.
11 PM: After careful cleaning and a little crying, I sort of snapped. Deciding that fixing the bobblehead area was a little too much pain for my mind to handle, I decided to mount my computer directly to the cabinet instead of the case. I jumped on the byoac boards for a minute to check the feasability, then it was on.
2 AM: What an undertaking. Mind you, I have never built a computer. Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. So, halfway through, I have six things on my mind, and each one gets done a little at a time.
4 AM: Done! I cannot believe what a difference that made both physically in the cab and for my mental health. See what you think.

In closing, this weekend, I tried or accomplished the following:
1. Tried mamewah 1.62b
1a. Accomplished getting Silvers BetaBrite program to work with mamewah.
1b. Figured out (this should tell you where I'm at mentally

) where ftr 1 goes in mame.ini
2. Accomplished putting hinges on my CP
3. Tried to get my start button to flash when off and stay solid when on
4. Accomplished getting my cabinet to turn on and off with the new start button
5. Accomplished straightening all my wiring out
6. Accomplished getting the smart strip to work properly
7. Accomplished uncasing my computer and mounting it to the cab
8. Accomplished making my wife feel terrible about knocking down the cp top enough to let me play for hours.
Not a bad weekend....................................
