What Style Standup For A Tri Console Fighter Cab?
« on: August 21, 2005, 06:05:55 pm »
My plan is to have a cabinet to run a modded x-box, ps2, and a dreamcast...

i sort of want it to be a multi media center.. it is to be the big thing in my basement...

because of my limitations on how i can get things INTO my basement.. i need to build it my self or buy a kit...

I will have to build the control panel my self because i am going to use sanwa components and such... i dont want a japanese cabinet because well i dont like the sitting down and my knees getting hurt, not to mention the controls are way too close together... you nearly bang elbows like the old school SF cabs lol.

Opinions plz.

The UAII kit would be a good choice for you.  It has the monitor at a very slight angle so you could use it for games or movies, without having to be very close to see it.  This would help your media center ideas.  The kit, as far as I have heard is very easy to setup with basic hand tools as well.  Maybe this helps a little.

Also, with slight modification, you can make the UAII into a three piece design for easier transport (moving down stairs)

Top, bottom and control panel
