Dig Dug Strikes Back

Namco recently announced that Dig Dug Digging Strike is in development. Coming to the Nintendo DS, this title will make use of the two screens in 15 stages with more than 80 areas. The game also features mini-games called Horivalou and Hori X, parodies of other classic Namco titles.

"'Dig Dug Digging Strike is more than a tribute to the 1982 classic drilling action game," said Yoshi Niki, Business Unit Director at Namco Hometek Inc. "This new installment in the franchise optimizes the dual-screen action of the Nintendo DS to deliver the most thrilling and entertaining Dig Dug adventure to date."

Dig Dug Digging Strike will release Fall 2005 exclusively on Nintendo DS.

I'll be interested to see how they make use of the touch screen.

You'll probably click on the baddies to inflate them... I'm guessing of course.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Stroke motion to replace the "Pump" button?

<note:  Needed to rewrite it 3 times before I came up with one wasn't that bad :) >

I'll be interested to see how they make use of the touch screen.
