The purpose of post hell is so we have a place to put bad threads without deleting them.  IE if someone claims they didn't say something we can look at the thread and see for sure.

Heh, I've been letting posts stay up a little longer.  I don't delete them right away, depends on who I see is online at the time.  It seems like there is a mini contest going on to see how many users can get posts into post hell by replying to a threads that is obviously destined to hell.

I think it's hilarious :)
