Looking for Cabinet design opinions.

Style 1 -- Easiest to build, but looks a little bulkier than the rest.

Style 2 -- Nice looking, Watch out for it going through a wall because of the cutout on the bottom rear.
The upper part is going to hit the wall before the bottom hits the baseboard.

Style 3 -- Don't know what you're planning for the kickpanel.
If it's a straight down kickpanel, the bottom sides are going to be exposed to getting kicked.
If it follows the cab shape, people won't have any room for their feet.
You might think about moving that whole shape back to make the bottom of the CP a little deeper, and give people more foot room.

For me, the only real thing I don't feel comfortable with regarding your design is the top of the cab where it leans towards the back. Have you tried altering the design so the angled piece is shorter?

You could still retain this angle and I think this would add something interesting to the overall appearance.

I like design 2 and 3 but I agree with NoOne=NBA=, watch out for those flares in the back.

I'll share a story about how stupid I was with my first arcade cab.

I hade measured and planned this arcade to the nth degree.  I had of course make a cardboard cut-out of the base of the arcade and walked into the house from the garage, to make sure it would fit through doors, flights of stairs and around corners.

I was quite proud of myself for such clever planning.

Then bringing the cab into the house (hell was this thing heavy!).  I finally (with the help of my very much complaining wife) got it to the bottom of the stairs.  At this point I cannot go forward I have to turn either left or right.  But I had measured and figured it could go around corners.

Wrong.  The flares that were at the back of the cabinet (kind of behind where the monitor/tv would go) were still inside the stairwell.  It wasn't budging.  I intermittently swore and came up with crazy ideas of how to solve this dilema for about and hour.  (keep in mind I'm tired and sweating from bringing this beast inside and down the steps).  I even considered removing some of the wall.

Finally I took my jigsaw and (crying) chopped of the flares that were stuck in the stairwell.  (wahhhh!)

Later I glued them back on, braced them and painted over my sin.
You can tell but only upon being told and looking.   

But there you have it.

Watch of for those flares.
