Personally I would stay away from the official guncon2's. They dont have all the features that replica's do such as re-coil, autofire/reload. Plus from my experience they dont work well with either driver. There are still problems even with acorns driver.

GUNCON :police:
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

How do the scorpion3 guns compare??

And are guns costom to the TV format, or they don't care? (i.e. PAL or NTSC gun or are they all the same).

In the huge Guncon thread somebody posted that the Scorpion3 guns are awesome; very accurate and none of the "rolling-X" problem associated with the official Guncon.  The problem is that they require extra power or they won't run.  Somebody rigged up a circuit with a 9v battery to make the guns functional, others have just plugged them into an old/broken PS2 to power them.

I'm wondering this to.  I just bought an O99L from ebay getting shipped from England.  I dont know how different it is from the p99L it has the reload pedal, recoil action, and laser.

I dont think it matters about PAL/NTSC

All the guns sold in the uk are PAL, but Arcade Monitors are NTSC. The guns I have tried work just fine on both.
