Screen Tearing??

Ive noticed on quite a few game theres alot of screen tearing which is to do with the sync i guess, if i turn triple buffering on it eliminates the problem, but then the sound seems to stutter. Is there another way to stop the screen tearing or stop the sound from stuttering with triple buffering on?

What speed computer are you using??? Tripple buff seems to eat alot of horsepower on some games.
