control panel layout/dimentions
« on: April 26, 2002, 03:51:56 pm »
I am building a mamecab, mostly using it for streetfighter and samuai showdown, anyways, i was hoping you guys could send me some links to websites that have the actual button layouts for street fighter and NEO GEO MVS cabenets.  I want my cab to be 100% authentic so pics to scale or with the dimentions and distance between the buttons would be greatly appreciated.  I'm also unsure on exactly how frar away I should put my joystick away from the buttons. THANX!!!!!  :-*

P.S. any personal layout/dimentions are welcome

I will by the end of may.
My sister has my autocad of my control panel as she is better at autocad than me since that is what she is studying.  She's got finals soon so she is busy right now.
Other wise after that I could post accurate drawing of my cp.

I have a SF2CE cab in my garage I could measure for you if you want (or are you more interested in neogeo?).  let me know and I'll do it when I get home.

OK jaydog, here you go....

button are clustered in the familiar 3 x 2  streetfighter pattern. all buttons are 1 1/2" on center. (in both the horizontal and vertical)

The joystick is 2 3/4" on center from the leftmost button (the joystick hole is on the centerline of the button cluster.

the player1 and player2 controls are 13 1/8" apart on center (i.e. the center of the player2 joystick is 13 1/8" away from the center of the player1 joystick).  all measurements for the player2 controls match those of player1.

I didn't bother with the start buttons but I guess I could run out there if you need that too.

Let me know,
